Insurance Information
More Than Just Podiatry is in-network with most major insurance plans and participates in many worker’s compensation programs. To avoid unexpected charges, we strongly encourage every patient to contact their insurance provider before scheduling to confirm that Dr. James D. Sills-Powell is participating and in-network.
Insurance and Payment Details
- Co-payments are due at the time of your visit.
- Patients without insurance are welcome — we offer cash-pay options due at the time of service.

Referral Requirements
Some insurance plans require a Primary Care Provider (PCP) referral before seeing a specialist.
- Patients are responsible for obtaining their referral prior to the appointment.
- Referrals can be faxed directly to our office at (314) 338-3495.
- If a valid referral is not on file, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
Helpful Tip:
Check your insurance card — if it says
“PCP referral required,” you’ll need to obtain one before your visit.
Common examples: HMO plans, Essence, and Medicare Complete.
Important Notice
At this time, we do not accept Marketplace (Affordable Care Act) plans, including:
- Cigna Connect Plans
- BCBS Pathway X Plans
- BCBS DirectAccess Plans
